My 2 best buds came to visit me last week with a forecast of rain we had a day where the sun prevailed. We made our way to the river with a picnic lunch and found a cozy nook to settle in. We sat and drank beers with only the river and mountains as neighbors and the sun stayed on us for hours. I gotta say it was one of the greatest days I've had here. Conrad and Sarah you cats are the best. xo

Headin to Edmonton

These gals are on their way to a cute lil' boutique hair salon called Ponytails and Horseshoes. They carry a few different local designers as well as Toms shoes. They have had my earrings in the salon for over a year now and were happy to keep them in even though I was moving away-- which I think is top-notch! So now I send them new stock every month or so......

Flowers already up in our yard. This means a lot to an Alberta girl in March (ya,ya it's April now but they were up last week).
I do not miss Edmonton winters in the least. I can't believe I didn't get out of there sooner....really.

Earrings at Sangha Bean

These feathery-gals made their way down to a local coffee shop here in Revelstoke called Sangha Bean. It's a great little fairtrade organic coffee and tea house located right downtown. It is a great place for local artists to display and sell their handmade stuff. I like that Sangha Bean also does not offer disposable cups for their drinks, if one wants a coffee to go and has not brought their own cup then they are asked for a one dollar deposit for a Mason Jar. That way on their next visit on returning the jar they get their buck back. It's a great little system I'd say.

Well I have finally made the leap outta good ol' faithful Edmonton. On to the moist mountainous air of Revelstoke. It's fresh here and I like it.

This is our snowy abode and me and Newt down by the Columbia River.....Geez it's been quite sometime since my last blog entry. Shame on me. I promise to be better and I will.

A fantastic day was had on the slopes of Kicking Horse this past Monday. I don't get out to the mountains to ski often, more like once a year really and usually on a Saturday at Sunshine where the crowds are large and ice patches many. I was thoroughly amazed by the quiet pristine of yesterday. Hardly a soul on the hill and such a perfect weather day at that, not to mention the company was top notch as a well. All in all it was a perfect day.

I've been back from the city of extreme for 13 days now and well it's time to get cracking on the ol' craft front....the truth is all I can think about is hopping back on a jet plane to who knows where, but alas one must be realistic and well I do realize that we're all just "here for the good times, not a long time, so have a good time, the sun can't shine everyday...."....errrr or something alright nevermind i'm gonna get to work...earrings I say!
